oh wait, it’s starting to get real that I’m graduating on Saturday and I’m not ready for my friends to leave me.

wrapping it up

I had a wonderful week last week. For one, my face went back to normal for two days (it’s kind of weird now, but I’m hanging in!). My two bridesmaids Kathleen and Rachel drove up on Thursday from Texas, and Catherine came in on Friday! My lovely girls threw me a shower at Cayli’s house on Sunday, after we WON Kappa Sigma dance (and the entire philanthropy week!). I’m going to have to make a separate post about the shower soon because everything was so perfect. They’re the best 🙂

You can see the video here!

Only one girl fell off the stage, so it’s all good…haha but really, she’s okay.

It was a great weekend, full of no homework.

Sunday night I remembered to check for a presentation in Global Energy Decisions. Yep. There was one due in 15 minutes. Whoops. You live and you learn. I presented it today.

Justin is the best, of course, and we went to dinner yesterday because I was hungry, and he also surprised me with an adorable card, flowers and chocolate! Plus a walk around the park, where all the tulips are in bloom.

I have a test tomorrow, that I am currently (obviously) procrastinating studying for.

That phrase always makes me think of this song:

Real Talk: School is hard.

With every day, it gets harder to get out of bed to go to class. It seems more and more trivial each time. I’ve got a job (this is new, and good. 🙂 ). Plus. I found out last night that I no longer have any staying-up stamina. My eyes couldn’t stay open at 1:15, and so la-dee-dah I went to bed instead of studying more. I had a test this morning. I was the first person done, and when I walked up, he said, “You’re finished?” and I said, “Close enough.”
I surprisingly felt better about this one than the last one, so that’s good…Things are starting to pile up and freak me out. There’s something every weekend from now until June 1 now, and that’s NOT including in-class assignments and such!I heard we have an assignment for Wednesday that is 3 pages long of opinion on China’s energy policy. YIKES. Like I had an opinion on that…

I can make it through 39 more days.

I can make it through 39 more days.

I can make it through 39 more days.

I can make it through 39 more days.

This weekend though…

I’ve sure done a whole lot of nothing.

Saturday we had a function with Kappa Alpha, which was fun. Then we hung out with some friends afterwards. It started to freezing rain and there was a nice layer of ice on the roads by about 12:30am. I made the executive decision to not go to church on Sunday.

Sunday, I woke up about 11:15. Snow and cold and everything was coming down, and Justin asked me if I wanted to come over for lunch. I didn’t leave until night time. During that time, we watched TV (Cinderella was on. 😉 ) and tried to make a cake. That was a really good test for us. Basically, I can’t read. The cake turned out alright, we made cream cheese icing and Justin added a sleeve of Thin Mints. It was a good choice. It was kind of like a Mint Oreo Cheesecake…not mad. Then Matthew and Seth came over, and we watched Thunder (they won, finally) and played some cards. While we were playing cards, we got the news that school was not only delayed, but had officially been cancelled for Monday.

And Matthew drove me home, isn’t that so nice?

Aaaaaand then there’s today. My body woke up the first time around 8:30. And I had a horrible dream. And then again about 11:15. I got an email that said I didn’t have to come give a tour, which is good, since I slept through my tour time. It’s now 3:40, I’m still in my pajamas, and I’ve eaten Ramen noodles so far. I read two chapters in the book I’m reading for fun (hilarious), am going to work on my project for class (ugh), catch up on my Bible Plan, and then read GoT if there is still time. I am not too torn up about not being able to go outside today…not gonna lie.

Netflix and my other super-legal streaming website are not working…too many people trying to watch shows. 😦 So reading is obviously the next best thing.

4 days of class and then one more week until freaking spring break. BRING IT ON.

What do you do during snow days?

10 ways you know it is finals week at college

1. Everyone walking around looks like zombies.
But you feel much better about yourself and your all-nighter last week in the science building. Mostly because you didn’t spend it alone.

2. The joy in your life comes from eating something other than campus food.
3. You try and find ways to avoid studying. Like cleaning your bathroom. Or doing laundry. Or finding a new game on Facebook.

4. Forget trying to find a space in the library.

5. So. Many. Snacks. and. So. Much. Coffee/Coffee substitute.

6. You feel like you should probably crawl in bed and play QuizUp all day. And then do it.

7. The live-tweeting your struggles is real.

8. The quest for grades begins promptly after your last final. And you check. and check. and check.

9. The grades of others slowly creep on to your facebook feed. Because you know we all love hearing about the 4.0 that we don’t have…

10. You don’t have time to finish this list.
